Jelang putaran kedua, Cole dicoret dari skuat Persib demi menggaet pemain anyar, Ezechiel N'Douassel.

Sebelum bergabung dengan Persib, klub terakhir Carlton Cole adalah Sacramento FC.
Namun, karier Cole bersama Sacramento sangat singkat. Dia hanya memperkuat klub asal Amerika Serikat tersebut selama empat laga.
Cole juga pernah membela tim-tim besar, seperti Chelsea, Aston Villa, dan Celtic FC.
Namun yang paling berkesan baginya tentu saam bermain untuk West Ham United.
Cole tergolong subur ketika memperkuat West Ham United. Dia merangkum 67 gol dan 33 assist dalam 293 pertandingan.
Well, in football, they always say that your body tells you when it is time to stop playing and to focus on a new chapter in your life. For me, that time is now! It is a decision I have been wrestling with for some time now. It’s a difficult decision to take, but, together with my family, I have now decided to call it a day. Sad, but there you are! I have been fortunate enough to have had a wonderfully exciting career, playing for some great clubs and, of course, for England. Memories that I will treasure forever. I’ve been particularly fortunate to have had a great relationship with the fans over the years especially those at West Ham. I have played with some fabulous players and made some great friends. So, in parting, I would like to thank the clubs, their management, players, coaches, medical staff and, of course, the fans, who have all contributed so much to my career. A special thank you also goes to my family. As for the next chapter in my life, well I’ll be making an announcement about that in the near future. So keep tuned in!!
