Gazprom sendiri merupakan perusahaan energi multinasional milik Rusia.
Gazprom telah menjadi sponsor Schalke 04 sejak 2007.
Selain Schalke 04, Gazprom juga menjadi sponsor dari Liga Champions 2021-2022.
Hal itu menyebabkan banyak pihak menekan UEFA untuk memutus kontrak dengan Gazprom.
